The restaurant designed for the Deutsche Wildtierstiftung in the Roots timber high-rise continues the narrative of wildlife and nature. As guests walk through the spacious dining area, they step onto a resilient wooden floor, while their gaze drifts upward to jagged felt strips hanging from the ceiling. These elements serve not only as acoustic features but also transform the space into an abstract forest. The felt branches create vaulted areas of varying heights, beneath which different seating arrangements are found—intimate seating groups with individual tables, a section with long communal tables, and a relaxed lounge area with deck chairs. In the evening, small points of light glow within the felt forest, reminiscent of fireflies.
