This is one of my “collector’s themes”, one that I keep adding to when I find new suitable objects.
The theme has a lot to do with time: you have to be on site quickly before the exposed layer closes again. Be it through demolition or a new building that sits in front of it.
My photograph thus shows a small trace of the present, which quickly becomes the past but is still latently present.
